The goal of this new basement finish was to make the space feel like an entertainment zone that the whole family could enjoy. The focus was on fun, function, and a splash of quirky character thrown in. Navy blue wet bar cabinets with an extra long wine rack and a reclaimed “exposed brick” wall accent is the focal point of this basement. The family room features a two-sided fireplace with brick surround and limestone hearth as well as an arched TV niche for the oversized TV. Rustic wood ceiling beams and engineered wood flooring bring warmth and texture, while a fun hidden bookcase door to the hide-out under stairs is a big hit for the kids. The brick accent wall is carried into the bathroom vanity space with industrial style wire pendants and patterned encaustic patterned cement floor tile.
