This kitchen was firmly rooted in 1990s-era style with closed-off spaces and no place to accommodate their growing extended family gatherings. Opening up the kitchen to the family room and informal dining space created an opportunity for a large, curved island for the many grandchildren to gather around. The awkward pantry in the existing design wasn’t functional and took up valuable space so were removed the walls and transformed the space into a coffee/wine nook complete with plate rack and glass cabinet doors for display. Shiplap ceiling accents, quartz countertops and a hidden TV are just a few of the special custom features included to welcome the entire family.
